Sunday, June 3, 2012 ![]() Carmina Burana - Carl Orff The Worcester Chorus Performance 4:00 p.m. Presented by Music Worcester, Inc. Carmina Burana, called a "dramatic cantata," is based upon twenty-five 13th century poems that were discovered in the Benedictine monastery of Beuren, Bavaria. They are written in medieval Latin and Middle High German. One of the few choral pieces that is instantly recognizable by nearly everyone, music from Carmina Burana has appeared in countless movie and television productions over the years.
