Chili's Gala, Christmas 1997

We roll out the red carpet for you

Mechanics Hall opens its doors to host large and small private events, including weddings, proms, black-tie galas, business events, political fund raisers, benefit dinners and more. The Mechanics Hall staff provides award-winning service to clients ranging from concert violinists to mothers-of-the-bride.

An award-winning restoration in 1977 recaptured the Hall's understated grandeur of the mid-19th Century. The Great Hall, on the third level, is a magnificent room featuring a richly decorated coffered ceiling, Corinthian pilasters and balustrade balcony, allowing an unencumbered view of the stage from everywhere in the room. A portrait gallery of 19th Century notables hangs above the side balconies, adding to the historic atmosphere.

Washburn Hall, the second largest meeting room, is as simple as the Great Hall is grand. Its arched, sun-splashed windows overlook downtown. Black walnut ticket kiosks grace Washburn Lobby; welcoming guests with their elegant carvings and hand-etched glass windows.

Our versatile meeting capacity with over 14,000 square feet of space in five different function rooms can accomodate from 10 to 1,600 people in elegance and privacy. Customized menus to suit any budget can be designed with our recommended caterers, and full beverage service and professional bar staff are available. Services can include a full range of audio-visual capabilities and a technician. Mechanics Hall is air conditioned, fully accessible and includes an assistive loop hearing system.
