seminars to receptions and banquets, every function
is a memorable occasion.
Our versatile
meeting and reception rooms, with more than 14,000 s.f. of space in five
different function rooms can accommodate 10 people to 1,600 in comfort
and privacy. You may choose from several types of seating arrangements
-- auditorium, conference, school-room or banquet format.
Our
catering services can provide a simple coffee break or an elegant banquet
with a menu customized to fit your needs and budget. A full liquor
license and professional hospitality staff are also available.
The historic
ambience may take your senses back in time, but today's business gatherings
require today's audio-visual technology. We can
meet those needs.

in Washburn Hall
Lighting
-
10 period chandeliers, quartz
down-lighting, curtain-wash fixtures, four-color borderlight down-lighting,
ellipsoidal spotlights, all controlled by a computerized dimming system.
Sound
-
Distributed sound system with
receptacles for up to six microphones, two line-level inputs and provisions
for background music input and recording. Wireless microphones,
stands and lecterns are also available.
Facilities
-
Retractable 10x10 projection
screen, 35mm slide projector with remote control, overhead projectors,
16mm sound film projector, two 26" color video monitors on stands with
half-inch VHS video cassette decks. Laser pointers, projection carts,
flip charts and easels, etc., are also available.

Lighting
-
Stage lighting consisting of
clear, fixed orchestral downlighting and adjustable theatrical lighting
instruments, all controlled with a 48-channel DMX-type dimmer console in
the sound booth at the rear of the Hall. House lighting consisting
of four large chandeliers and a variety of accent lighting, all under dimmer
control. Separate power risers provided at stage for supplemental
show lighting, and clear-comm headset intercom facilities available.
Two Lycian 1266 Superarc follow spotlights are available for use in the
rear balcony.
Sound System
-
Full-range, uniform sound reinforcement
system covering all seating areas in Hall and balconies is accomplished
with a four-way central loudspeaker cluster over the stage, and supplemental
time-delayed speakers under the balconies. Sound system is capable
of producing more than 100 decibels of sound pressure level at any seat
in the Hall, and is powered by 13 Crown power amplifiers totalling
2,600 watts. A 24-channel mixing console is located in the sound booth
at the rear of the Hall, along with adjustable equalizers, limiters, recording
and playback equipment, and wireless microphone receivers. An inductive
loop hearing-impaired system and portable receivers and headsets are also
available. The stage is equipped with a permanently-installed 18-channel
microphone snake cable and a two-channel stage monitor system, capable
of handling up to eight stage monitor loudspeakers.Backstage monitoring
is possible with loudspeakers located in all backstage and dressing room
areas.
Audio-visual facilities

Projection booth at rear of
hall for slides, film or video projection, retractable 20x20 projection
screen lowers electrically over stage. A variety of projectors and
lenses are available, including 35mm slide projectors; 16mm sound-film,
overhead projectors and 26" color video monitors.
